3 Day Program on Implementation of NABH 5th edition standards
Quality Control & Assurance cell of HAHC Hospital & HIMSR organized a 3 day training on the topic of “Program on Implementation” from 1st to 3rd June 2021, under the guidance of Medical Superintendent.
The training was conducted by the National Accreditation Board for Hospital & Healthcare providers (NABH). The objective of the Programme was to provide guidance to healthcare provider on implementation of NABH standards. The aim of the programme was to develop Internal Counsellors within the hospitals for helping them to work towards implementation of quality and patient safety standards, achieving accreditation and maintaining the same.
During these three days, our faculties, clinicians, nursing leaders learned how to implement the 10 chapters, 100 standards and 651objective elements of NABH 5th Edition in their own respective departments. They were trained to identify sentinel events, importance of incidence reporting and how to prepare a document or an apex manual of the hospital. They were also trained on how to conduct internal audit in their respective departments and how to rectify the non-compliance using quality tools like PDCA (Plan Do Check Act), RCA (Root Cause Analysis), CAPA (Corrective & Preventive Action).
The trainees asked their queries to NABH trainers directly through one to one interaction virtually and were made clear about their doubts during the session.
After the 3 days session a post-test was conducted by the NABH for all the participants and certificates were distributed respectively.
The program was well co-ordinated and managed by Dr Abhishek Sharma, Quality Control Officer and Ms Sagrika Singh KulJas , Quality Associate with the continuous support of the IT Team under the guidance of Dr. Ajaz Mustafa, Medical Superintendent.
